FUTURE ASTRONAUT RECORDS · SUBMISSIONS OPEN

Submit a demo

Future Astronaut Records is accepting demos now. House, dubstep, riddim, deep dub, drum and bass and melodic bass — finished tracks, not sketches. We care more about whether it works on a system than whether it is polished to within an inch of its life.

HOW TO SUBMIT

Four things, then wait

This is the whole process. There is no fee, no follow-up email chain and no need to DM anyone.

01

ONE TRACK, THROUGH THE FORM

One track per submission. Include the title, your artist name exactly as you want it credited, and links to where you already are — Spotify, SoundCloud, Instagram.

02

SEND A WAV, NOT AN MP3

Send the mastered version if you have one. If you do not, say so — mastering guidance comes back with the acceptance, and it is not a reason to hold the track.

03

A RADIO EDIT HELPS, BUT IS NOT REQUIRED

If you have a clean version, send it. It opens doors a club mix cannot: radio, some playlists and most sync placements need a broadcast-safe cut. No clean version is not a rejection.

04

YOU HEAR BACK EITHER WAY

Every submission gets screened. If we take it, you get a release code, an intake form for the track details, and an agreement to sign before anything moves.

WHAT WE ARE LISTENING FOR

Records that work in a room

The label is run by the people who book the shows, so the test is a simple one: would this go off at one of ours. Club-ready house, heavy bass, riddim with an actual idea in it, deep dub that holds a floor, drum and bass, melodic bass with a hook.

WHAT WE DO NOT TAKE

  • Unfinished tracks, loops or ideas.
  • DJ mixes and mash-ups.
  • Bootleg remixes of music you do not have the rights to.
  • Music generated by AI — every submission is screened for it.

Ready? Send it.

The form takes about three minutes. Questions about the label go to ryan@futureastronautco.com.
