Our content

Everything on this site — the writing, layout, code, logos, the Future Astronaut and Future Astronaut Records names and marks, and the photography we own — belongs to us or is used with permission. You may link to us, and you may quote us with credit. You may not copy the site, reuse our marks, or present our work as your own.

Cover art, flyers, press photos and music remain the property of the artists and designers who made them. Show flyers are reproduced to promote the event they advertise.

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email info@futureastronautco.com with the work, the URL and your contact details, and we will take it down while we look into it.

Demo submissions — read this part

• Sending us a demo does not create any agreement between us. We are under no obligation to release it, reply in any particular timeframe, or pay you anything.
• Do not send us anything you consider confidential. We cannot treat a demo as a secret. We listen to a lot of music and may already be working on something that resembles yours. Nothing you send creates a confidential relationship.
• You must own what you send. By submitting, you confirm the recording is yours, that you have the rights to every part of it, and that any sample, loop, interpolation or vocal you did not create is either royalty-free, pre-cleared, or disclosed to us.
• You keep your rights. Submitting changes nothing about who owns your music. If we want to release it, we send you a written agreement, and nothing happens until it is signed.
• We may not keep your files. If we pass, we delete the audio.

Events and tickets

Show listings are provided for information. Line-ups, times, venues and prices are set by the promoter or venue and can change or be cancelled by them without notice. We do not sell tickets on this site. Ticket links go to third-party platforms, and your purchase is a contract with that platform and the event organiser, not with us. Refunds for tickets are handled by whoever sold them — see our Refund Policy.

Where a discount code is shown on a listing, it is provided by the event organiser and we cannot guarantee it will still be valid at checkout.

Production enquiries

Descriptions of our production services are not an offer or a quote. Availability, scope and price are confirmed in writing for each job, and those written terms govern that job. Nothing on this site creates a booking.

Merch

Merch is sold through our Shopify store, under the store's own terms and refund policy shown at checkout.

Links out

We link to venues, ticket platforms, streaming services, social platforms and partners. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.

Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every listing is current.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, and our total liability in connection with the site is limited to $100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Alabama.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when we last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
